| Customer Reviews: Perfect for use with XBMC December 14, 2009 L. Mather 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
If you like your HTPCs small, stylish and quiet then this is one for you. I bought one mainly for using with XBMC (which it handles very well).
PROs:
Very, very quiet (even under full load)
Stylish
Quick boot time (under 45 secs)
Very Nippy in Windows 7 even with AERO enabled
1080p video playback (when using gpu)
Eco Friendly
Remote/Wireless Keyboard and mouse included
HDMI HD Audio
Total Media Centre included
Windows 7 included
Cons:
No Blu-Ray reader included (only DVD burner)
Hard Disk could have been bigger
CPU perhaps a bit to weak for serious gaming
EEE EB15012 Excelent choise. March 11, 2010 Deniss Losakovs (Latvia) This is best HTPC what u can get right now, its small and silent (even it has cooler inside), i put it on back of my 37'' LCD TV, connect it via HDMI and it is what i dreamed about.
HD Video 1080P works great, also with build in DVD i can watch my DVD disks (sadly no BlueRay).
It consumes only 30W of energy. Keyboard and mouse realy sux, my advice, by logitech...
But any way this is BEST.
I've been waiting it since it was announced, and it worth that.

Excellent size, slightly underpowered December 8, 2009 Lee Cotton (London, UK) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Obviously the main selling point of this machine is the small form factor. It certainly wins on this count, as it's not much bigger than a hardback book. It's also a good looking device, with it's ballerina style stand, and matching wireless keyboard and mouse. Another nice feature is a remote control, which fits with the machine being used as a Windows Media Center PC connected to your HDMI TV.
The main drawback with it though is the underpowered CPU. 1.6 ghz may be fine for netbooks, but people generally want a bit more power from a desktop device. I guess the low performance CPU is there to keep the price and power down (it's apparently a super-low power consumption machine)
If you're short on desk space, or just want a small stylish box instead of the lumpen black boxes of most modern PC's, then this might do it for you. However, don't expect it to whizz along. If you have high processing requirements, you may want to consider something else.
